Hi from Kayaker 2015

Is blog is about some of the kayak design work we have done at Grafton Paddlesports.

Big thanks to Jan Horak at the start. For his friendship, generosity with computer design work and advice on life and fibreglass kayak shaping and construction..

We made a wild water racing K2 that had a Fanfare sprint K2 hull and a deck we shaped ourselves using bits of kayaks we had.

The flat mid-section is from a slalom kayak which gave us a nice cockpit with moulded in knee grips .

The rear was from the back deck of the Wizard and the front deck from the Obsession wild water racer.

We positioned the cockpits farther forward than the standard positions of the Fanfare so I could sit in the front and have the correct trim with light weight Leila in the back.

We had used the deck before on another double kayak.

The first time we joined 2 Wizard wild-water kayaks together to make a nice stable K2.
